Deborah Lynn Williams “Debbie” age 65, passed away Thursday December 14, 2017 at Emory Hospice after a hard, long fight with cancer.

Born October 7, 1952 in Atlanta, GA she is survived by her husband David P. Williams, daughters Joanie Campbell and Sarah Williams, sons Scott Mann and Steve Mann, father John D. Nelms, mother D. Joan Nelms, granddaughters Christina Campbell and Ariana Allen, grandsons Jonathan Mann and James Allen Jr., sister Linda Parker, brother Jay Nelms; along with many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends like family.

Debbie was a graduate of Lakeside Highschool, Atlanta, GA. She attended college at West Georgia University, graduating with a degree in early childhood education. Debbie was a teacher for many years and then later became a substitute. After retiring from teaching 11 years ago Debbie began working at Disney as a cast member where she became the “Fairygod Mother”. She enjoyed making magic for every person that walked through the door, even people that she would meet outside of the store. She became an honored recipient of the Spirit Award, which is awarded to those cast members who are the embodiment of what Walt’s vision of what Disney stands for. She was known by guests as well as cast members from coast to coast, everyone knew who she was.

In lieu of flowers; contributions to the “The Make A Wish Foundation” would be greatly appreciated as this is one Debbie held close to her heart!
